Week 1: Leadership and management concepts

Week 2: Theory in practice, focus on STEM education

 

University of Hawaii Manoa

This experiential program is designed to integrate the learning of knowledge, experiences, and innovation in the broad global context of educational leadership and management today. The pedagogies will focus on interactive, diverse, rich, and creative approaches, leveraging the place of Hawaii, a uniquely global site of rich and diverse practices and approaches in the middle of the Pacific.

  • Professional seminars led by academic faculty and practitioners in areas of governance, policy, leadership and STEM education
  • Experiential learning through site visits to local public and private schools and other learning communities
  • Interact with global peers and other professionals across fields and disciplines related to education

Target audience: Graduate students of educational administration, management and comparative policy as well as practitioners in the field (educational leaders and professionals).

  • Mon-Fri there are two options: two meals a day at USD 24/day OR three meals a day at USD33.5/day. Hours are breakfast (7am - 10 am), lunch (11 am - 2 pm) and dinner (4:30 pm - 8 pm)
  • Sat-Sun / university holidays: two meals a day at USD 24/day. Hours are brunch (10:30 am - 1:30 pm) and dinner (5 pm - 7:30 pm)

2. Visa information: Participants may enter the U.S. on a B2 visitor visa as this is a non-credit short-term program. An invitation letter will be provided. It is recommended that visa approvals be obtained prior to cancellation/refund deadlines.
 

3. Health insurance: Required for all participants. Must be purchased prior to arriving in the U.S. with policy effective the entire duration of the stay.
